Events Fraunhofer Chemistry Alliance

The Fraunhofer Alliance for Chemistry is participating in the ACS Fall Meeting for the fourth time from August 23 to 27, 2026, in Chicago, IL. They will present themselves under the motto "Research in Germany" alongside strong partners, including the German Research Foundation (DFG), its North America office, and its Chemistry Division. Together, they aim to showcase Germany as a premier research location to an international audience.

From September 15 to 17, 2026, a new format for exchange, inspiration, and networking awaits you at the DECHEMA-Haus in Frankfurt am Main: the DECHEMA Forum 2026—three days focusing on a single topic with countless ideas. Experts from industry, science, and research are working to find ways for the process industry to move toward a decarbonized future while remaining competitive.

The 31st ATC Conference 2024 will be organized by a new host and will take place from March 21 to 22, 2024 for the first time under the umbrella of Fraunhofer at the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicate Research ISC in Würzburg, a member of the Fraunhofer Chemistry Alliance.

For the second time, the Fraunhofer Chemistry Alliance will be presenting itself with a large joint stand at the world's leading trade fair for the process industry. You will find it in Hall 6.0, Stand D49.

"Elevating Chemistry" is the theme of this year's fall meeting of the American Chemical Society (ACS) in Denver, Colorado. From August 18 to 22, thousands of chemistry experts from all over the world will meet at the society's conference. Just like last year, Germany as a research location will present itself to the international audience. At booth 813, you can meet representatives of the Fraunhofer Chemistry Alliance together with the German Research Foundation DFG (DFG Office North America as well as the Chemistry Division of the DFG) and the German House for Research and Innovation (DWIH) under the motto "Research in Germany".

In September 2024, DECHEMA's "Forum" will take place for the first time in Friedrichshafen under the motto "Science and Industry in Dialogue". The new format stands for more interaction and networking and addresses the current question "How can chemistry, pharmaceuticals and life sciences make their production more sustainable today?".

The Fraunhofer Chemistry Alliance will be presenting itself at the Sustainable Industry Week from November 13 - 14, 2024 with a stand that highlights “green” aspects of our research: diverse applications of the biopolymer lignin, cascade reactions or research results on sustainability in chemistry and materials research.

This year, the American Chemical Society (ACS) Fall Meeting will take place in Washington, D.C., from August 17 - 21, 2025, under the theme "Innovations in Chemistry." The Fraunhofer Chemistry Alliance is participating in the American Chemical Society (ACS) meeting for the third time in a row. You can find us at the joint booth No. 2543 under the motto “Research in Germany,” organized in collaboration with the German Research Foundation (DFG), including both the DFG North America Office and the DFG Chemistry Division, as well as the German Center for Research and Innovation (DWIH).
